Macoy's 2nd Birthday

Happy Birthday to Macoy!

The first thing Coy said when he woke up on his birthday was, "I want waffles!" So, that's what he got. He is really into Thomas the Train, so here he is eating waffles in all his Thomas the Train glory.

He-Haw Farms

Kabella had her first field trip to He-Haw farms. Mom and Coy went along to have an extra fun day with her.

First we did the corn maze. It was really scary when we got lost, but luckily Coy and Bells are really brave. :)

Then they each got to pick out their very own pumpkin to take home.
Then it was over to the petting zoo.

One lucky cow even got a kiss from sweet little Coy.
After that, we had a fun hay ride.
We got to ride down the slides on a burlap sack. Kabs said she was going to yell the whole way down and she is a woman of her word.

The highlight for the kids was the straw bales. They spent so much time jumping off the bales into a big soft pile of straw.

Kabs finally got brave and jumped off the highest bale.

Easter

We had a great Easter Sunday. The weather wasn't quite nice enough for an easter egg hunt outside so we were indoors again this year.

The Easter Bunny decided to hide the eggs on the chairs behind the bars to test the kids IQ. They wouldn't fit through the bars, but they could easily reach them from the other side. I would like to say our kids passed the IQ test with flying colors, but I think you would be able to see from the picture that I'm lying! :)

Uncle Jake and Becca came over and had fun with the kids.

They shot some rocket balloons and played a game of Trouble.

Kabella got a jump rope for in her basket and was bound and determined to figure it out. We still need a little practice.

Curls

I bought these curlers at the women's expo the other day, and I have to say I really love them!

They were easy to use and we got a pretty good curl from them!

Kabella's 3rd Birthday

Kabella turned 3 on the 3rd. We were going to go to the jumping zoo, but both Kabs and Coy were sick with a cold so we just had family over for cake and ice cream.

She got lots of new clothes for summer. (Just what she wanted).

Christmas

We had a great Christmas this year. Justin took lots of time off work so we were able to spend lots of quality time together just hanging out.

Kabella is in love with the Kangaroo Zoo so of course we had to go there while Justin had time off work. Macoy was afraid of it at first, but finally warmed up to the idea just when it was time to leave.

Macoy's 1st Birthday

At Macoy's 12 month checkup he was 31 3/4 inches and weighed 23 lbs 11 oz. Watch out Kabella, Macoy is catching up to you fast!

Here are a few quick pictures of the kids. Summer went by so quickly and Macoy's first birthday is almost here! Yikes, I better start thinking about what I'm going to be doing for the party. Anyhoo, Kabella loves playing with our next door neighbor Avery. They love playing dress-up and then dancing in their beautiful dresses.

We took the kids out on a boat for the first time. Our friends, Tom and Misti, were kind enough to invite us along for a ride out on Utah Lake.

Another thing Kabella loves to do is color. She always wants someone to color with her. I guess it was Dad's turn. :)

Summer Fun

Here are a few pictures of the kids having some summer fun. Macoy is 9 1/2 months old, has 8 teeth and can crawl like a mad man. His new thing is crawling up the stairs when mom isn't looking! Kabella has been doing really well with the potty training and loves playing outside with her friends.

This summer we went to the zoo for the first time. If it hadn't been so hot, I think it might have been a little more enjoyable.

Kabella and Macoy are both huge fans of the popsicle. They always make a huge sticky mess, but it's worth it!

It's been awhile...

Since I haven't posted for awhile, I will try and catch up. Macoy will be 7 months old tomorrow. He already has 6 teeth and is starting to crawl across the floor army man style. Kabella loves being around him and they make each other laugh all the time! Kabs is in the process of being potty trained and does pretty well when she wants to.

The inevitable finally happened...We took Kabella to Cabela's. She was so naughty there! We couldn't keep her from running around like a crazy lady, and she kept trying to climb into the exhibits. I was pretty tempted to just leave her there!

On March 3rd, Kabella turned two years old! We sure love this girl!

We went to St. George last weekend to spend some time with Devan and Lexie. Ty and Macoy are best buds.

Macoy 4 Months

Macoy turned 4 months old on Valentine's day, and he is quite the little sweetheart! At his appointment he weighed in at 16 lbs 8 oz and was 26 1/4" long. He is recovering from RSV and Kabs is recovering from the flu and a nasty cold. It's not fun to have sick kids, especially when you are sick yourself! We are all doing much better now.

Macoy started rice cereal. He doesn't seem to love it quite yet.

Macoy's Blessing

We blessed Macoy on Sunday. Justin's brother Jarom also blessed their little boy, Jaden, on the same day. Our church was at 9:00 and so everyone came to Macoy's blessing and then we all drove over to PG for Jaden's blessing at 11:00. We had a luncheon after for the family. Everything went really well and it was great to get together with family.

Thanksgiving

This year we spent Thanksgiving with Justin's family and we had a great time! There was lots of great food and it was fun to be able to visit with everyone. Kabella's hair started out pretty cute, but by the end of the day she looked like she had stuck her fork in a light socket.

Halloween

This year for Halloween Kabella was a pretty little pony. She really liked her costume even though she had a hard time being able to see where she was going when the hood was on!

Macoy was somewhat of a pumpkin. I'm sure he'll have a much more exciting costume next year.

He had his three week appointment today and now weighs 10 lbs 14 oz and is 22 3/4 inches long.

Macoy Vance

Macoy was born on Wed. the 14th at 12:38 pm. Everything went well with the delivery until the shoulders tried to make their appearance. I guess the technical term is shoulder dystocia. Once the Dr. was able to get him out, they checked him over and everything was just fine! He weighed in at 9 lbs 11 oz and was 20 inches long. He is a good eater and everyone thinks he looks just like Justin (I'm sure that's exactly why the shoulders were stuck)!

Kabella is adjusting to life with the baby. She is really gentle with him and likes to give him lots of kisses. :)

38 Weeks

Well, I am still pregnant and getting bigger and grouchier every day. If the baby isn't here by the 14th, then I will be induced. We are trying to help Kabella understand that there is a baby in mom's tummy, but I don't think she quite grasps what we are trying to tell her.

18 Months

Kabella is now 18 months old and will go to nursery for the first time on Sun. (Yeah!!!) She has always been interested in wearing my bra, socks, and any kind of gloves. This morning she was asking to wear all three, so I decided I just couldn't pass up this candid moment.

At her 18 month appointment, she was 32 1/4'' long and weighed 25.4 lbs.

Big Uh-Oh

A few weeks ago I was getting ready for the day in my bathroom while Kabella was busying herself with something in the cabinet next to me. By the time I looked to see what she was doing, it was too late! She had somehow managed to unscrew the lid off a bottle of my finger nail polish. Luckily she only spilled it on the tile and not the carpet. Unluckily she had some on her hand and just had to rub her eye! Since I couldn't use fingernail polish remover on her face (I called the Dr. just to be sure) I had to let it wear off. The sad thing is the whole thing happened just inches from me and I didn't even notice!

Swim Time

It's a BOY!!

Justin and I found out that Kabella is going to be getting a little brother! We are so excited! I tried to convince myself that I didn't care either way, but I really did want a boy! He is very active, much more active than Kabella ever was!

Kabella also had her 15 month appointment the other day. She weighed in at 23.6 lbs and is about 32'' long.

Festival of Tulips

Easter

Easter was a lot of fun this year. We ended up going over to my parent's house for dinner and an easter egg hunt. Kabella didn't quite understand what was going on, so she needed lots of help! Daddy helped her find all her easter eggs that Uncle Aaron and Grandpa had "hid" around the yard.

Grandpa helped her open the eggs to see what was inside.

She sure enjoyed making a mess with all that stupid grass!

I have to do a little bragging here...Justin got me flowers for no reason! Isn't that sweet! He came home with these tulips and a card. I have a very sweet and thoughtful husband. It was especially sweet and thoughtful because I really don't deserve them. I have been a monster lately because my hormones are all out of whack. For those of you who don't know, I'm pregnant again! Justin and I are really excited. My due date is Oct. 2oth. Kabella and the new baby will be about 19 months apart, so I'm really going to have my hands full!

I wanted to get a cute picture of Kabs with the beautiful flowers, but this was the best I could get. She didn't want to cooperate at all!

13 Months

I'm a little behind, so I thought I would create two different posts. Kabella loves bath time. She has started drinking her bath water, which I think is disgusting, but it hasn't seemed to harm her yet. Her hair is really hard to style because it's so thin, this is probably the best hair-do I have ever given her!

Besides baths, Kabella also loves animals. Here she is with Jarom's bulldog Roxie. She's probably on the ground because Roxy is like a bulldozer and had just plowed her over! She's a great sport.

Can you believe that Kabs is already 1? Man, this year sure did fly! Here are a few pictures from her party. Thanks to everyone that came and for all your help!

During the feeding frenzy, she had an itch on her eye she just had to rub!

11 Months

I finished my magnet board (this one is for you Celeste). I don't love it, but it turned out ok.

Kabella is now 11 months old and walking up a storm. She is really hard to keep still when I change her diaper. She gets away from me sometimes and likes to run around naked.

Justin taught Kabella how to stick out her tounge. This is her one of her favorite things to do now.

A lot of people ask me if Kabella looks like me or Justin, and I always say that she looks a lot like Justin did when he was little. Here is a picture of Justin when he was 11 months old. I'll let you be the judge...

Kabella's new thing is pointing at whatever she wants. Most of the time we can't tell what she's pointing at, but that doesn't stop her from trying.

Kabella is now almost 10 months old. This is her and daddy all bundled up on New Year's eve ready to go party at the Gardner's. She actually stayed up until 11:45!

She did excelent opening her Christmas gifts. She seemed to grasp the concept that there was something beneath all that cool paper.

This is Kabella in her Christmas outfit. She wanted to take off her shoe so you could see it more clearly in the picture.

Santa and Rudolph

Poor little Kabby fell and scraped her nose on her closet door. She did it the day before she met Santa. It's already healed, but it sure looked sore the first couple of days. She wasn't quite sure what to think of Santa...

After she saw that he had candy for her, she was a lot more friendly!

She had her 9 month appointment at the beginning of Dec. She was 28.5 inches long and weighed 19 lbs 6 oz. She also has 8 teeth and as you can tell from the picture, they are quite large and in charge!

Surgery

I had knee surgery on the 14th to repair a medial meniscus cartilage tear. I also had a cyst that needed to be removed. The surgery was a success and I'm healing quickly. I promise, my knee feels better than it looks!

You'll have to excuse the garments, that's what happens when you take your own pictures.

It's been fun hobbling after Kabella. She didn't seem so efficient with her crawling skills until after I had surgery! My mom has been great! She's brought dinner over few times, and has helped a lot with Kabella. Jamie has also been really sweet! Thanks for caring and for bringing me those yummy treats!

Kabella was a pink leopard this year for Halloween. I think the cutest part of the costume was her tail!
I didn't realize that I had drawn her nose on upside-down until it was too late. No way she was going to let me erase it and try again!

Kabella is now 7 months old. At her 6 month appointment, she weighed 16 lbs 13 oz and was 27'' long. She has 5 teeth and is now ready to start to crawling!

Kabella is now 6 months old and growing like a weed. Her 6 month appointment is next week, and I can't wait to see how big she is now.

We went to St. George last weekend to hang out with Dev and Lexi. Kabella went swimming for the first time while we were there.

5 1/2 Months

I really wanted to get some picutes of Kabella while she was sleeping. It was quite the ordeal to get her to fall asleep with her little hat on and then place her on her tummy without waking her up. It was worth it though because I got a couple really cute picts of her sawin' logs.

It was pretty funny the weird looks she gave me when she woke up. She didn't quite understand what was going on.

I decided as long as I had the camera out I would take a couple other quick picts of her. She's doing really well sitting up on her own.

Partridge Reunion

Kabella met her Great-Grandma and her Great-Great-Grandma for the first time. This is a 5 generation picture of Kabella, Justin, his dad, Kent, Kent's mother, Erlenne, and Erlenne's mother (Justin couldn't remember her name), we'll just call her Grandma Davis.

That night we heard what I thought was thunder, but it turned out to be the fire works for Lindon days. I think Kabella really liked the lights but not so much the sound.

Good thing daddy was there to protect her from those scary noises!

Pioneer Days

Kabella had her 4 month appointment on the 16th. She is now 14 lbs 9 oz and 25 1/2 inches long. We started her on solids this last week. I was expecting her to hate the rice cereal and spit every drop of it out, but she did really well!

Kabella got her first tooth the other day. Lately she has been chewing on anything and everything that she can get her hands on.

She loves her toys. She figured out that if she rolls the ball, it will play music for her. She is one smart little cookie.
She really loves playing with her toys! As you can see, it makes her really happy.

Goodbye Xactware

My last day of work at Xactware was June 17th. I worked there for over 8 years. On the 13th my department had a BBQ outside. Here are a few pictures from the BBQ.

Tom (the one behind me with the sweet goatee) worked with me pretty much the whole time I was at Xactware. We also went to the same High School.

Zeke was my manager and he was kind enough to say a few thoughtful words. Even though I was thoroughly embarrased, I thought that it was very nice that he cared enough to say something.

And then there was Brie...I had so much fun working with and getting to know her. I'm really going to miss hanging out and talking with her.

Xactware was a great company to work for, and I hope to keep in contact with the friends I made there.

This has been a busy week for Kabella! She was blessed on Sun. the 4th and then she had her 2 month appointment on Mon. She now weighs 11 lbs 8 oz and is 23 1/2 inches long. We had our family over after the blessing for a light lunch. She sure enjoyed all the attention. She was an angel all day. Thanks to Jarom for taking the pictures.

If we would have waited any longer, Kabella wouldn't have been able to fit in her blessing dress!

My sister-in-law Brooke and my brother Aaron have a new little niece to love. Elaina was born a week ago and weighed 8lbs 2 oz, 1 oz less than Kabella. Elaina was also 20 1/2 inches long, just like Kabella! It's amazing to see how tiny Elaina is compared to Kabella. It's hard to believe she was ever that little!
